October 2004
Fishing has been very good for flounder. We've had limits up to 6lbs on out going tides.
Birds have been working all over the lake, but the speckle trout fishing has been tough
under the birds. Not a lot of fish taken, some days are better than others but that's fishing.
Lots of red fish and sand trout are being taken every day.

July 2004
Sabine lake fishing has fair to good on speckle trout. The fish went to live bait as they do
every year. On live bait fished the short rigs in the gulf all month and had great limits.
When the weather comes up we have to fish the jetties which have not been as good as the rigs.
Offshore fishing is still going strong. Smoker kings showing up in better numbers while
the snapper bite is still good. Finding scattered ling around the rigs as well.
